This is Mailman in 'Design mode', a mode you can use during setup to test colors, styles and mouse-reactivity. In this mode, Mailman doesn't attempt to send a message, but alternates its response between 'sent successfully' and 'failed'. We've also removed all the Contacts we defined in the first example, so Mailman displays fields for recipient details instead of the drop-down list. This would allow mail to be sent to any email address.
