#0027: Sun Java plugin installed but not working in Netscape
Many developers like to have several Netscape versions installed. The Sun Java plugin can be included in the Netscape download, but if you've already installed the plugin you probably don't want to download it again. As a result, the new installation won't recognize applets. To workaround this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Open the folder containing the Sun plugin installation (usually C:\Program Files\Java\j2re\bin).

  2. Look for files named NPJava32.dll, NPJava131.dll, NPJava12.dll, NPJava11.dll.

  3. Copy any files you find with those names to the Plugins folder of your new Netscape installation.

  4. Close and restart Netscape if it was running.
